As your order will be arriving from the U.S, you may be charged a general sales tax (GST) when your order is processed by customs. Under the U.S. Australia Free Trade Agreement items manufactured in the U.S. are exempt from federal customs, but the GST will usually be applied if the order is over $1,000. We estimate that the GST should amount to 10% of the order value. If there are any taxes to be paid, FedEx will contact you and send a form requesting that they act as your broker, meaning that you will pay the taxes through FedEx instead of directly through customs. In fact, in many cases you may simply pay when the package is delivered, as most FedEx deliverymen are equipped with a portable credit card payment device, which makes the entire procedure relatively convenient. Please note that customers are responsible for any customs, taxes and other charges levied by your local authorities, so we recommend that you check your local regulations before completing your purchase.
